Join Our Race Crew


The 2nd Annual Garnet & Gold 4 Miler will be held on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Doak Campbell Stadium in Tallahassee, Fla.

The event offers a variety of volunteer opportunities on event weekend, including passing out packets to participants before the event to working at the Start Line, the on-course water station or at the Finish Line passing out medals and other goodies to the participants.

Below are a list of volunteer opportunities and shift times:

Friday, April 8 & Saturday, April 9

Garnet & Gold Store (Campus Location)

Packet Pick Up
11:30am-3:30pm and 3:30pm-6:30pm
Garnet & Gold Store (Campus Location)
Assist in passing out shirts and race bibs to event participants

Sunday, April 10

At Doak Campbell Stadium unless noted

Race Day Packet Pick Up
5:45am-7:45am
Assist in passing out shirts and race bibs to event participants

Gear Check
7:30am-9:45am
Staff Gear Check tent where participants leave change of clothes, etc.

Start Line / Start Corrals
6am-10am
Assist participants into Start Corrals and assist event operations at Start Line

Finish Line & Runner Recovery
6am-10am
Assist in passing out post-race refreshments and finisher's medals

Water Station
On Course
7:30am-10:30am
Staff on-course aid station during event

Course Marshals
On Course
7:45am-10:30am
Help participants have a safe experience by providing on course support

Balloon Team
7am-10am
Walk behind the final participants to make sure all safely arrive to the Finish Line
